Original WW2 US Navy Cracker Jack Bell Bottom Trousers - Size 44"

An original pair of United States Navy Cracker Jack Bell Bottom Trousers dating from the Second World War and in a large size.

This pattern of trousers was worn for a number of years by men serving in the US Navy and would have been worn with the matching top. They are made from a black coloured wool and feature a flap front which fastens with plastic USN buttons which feature an anchor to the front. There is a small ticket pocket to the waistband which fastens with a metal 'Serval' branded zipper and the rear features an adjustable section which fastens with a lace. 

Inside the trousers the original label is still present and states that the trousers were made by the Naval Clothing Factory. The details or name and rate have not been filled in which would suggest that they are an un-issued example. There is a second label to the rear of the trousers which states the size as 46L.

The trousers are a large size which will fit a 44" waist and when laid flat they measure - 

Waist - 22"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 19"
Inside leg - 39 1/2" (currently unhemmed as they left the factory)
Outside leg - 50 1/2"
Cuff - 12 1/4" 

The trousers are in very good condition with no signs of previous wear and use. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
