About this item
An original French Army Gas mask bag dated 1940 and in good condition.
This pattern of haversack came into issue with the French Army during the 1920s and stayed in use throughout the Second World War. This example is maker marked 'D.S.C' to the interior below which is the 1940 date.
The bag is made from a heavy duty khaki canvas and features a leather tab to close the front as well as a shoulder strap. Both the side pockets and the shoulder strap are still intact as is the metal plate to the interior.
The overall condition of the bag is good as can be seen in the pictures.
Altogether a nice original WW2 French item which would be ideal for a re-enactor or collector.
