    About this item

An original 1951 dated RAF Ordinary Airman's Tunic in a good size No.11.

Whilst this tunic is dated 1951 it is identical to those worn throughout the Second World War by all RAF airmen up to the rank of Flight Sergeant as both a working uniform and a walking out uniform.

This particular example features brass buttons and post WW2 insignia to the sleeve. This could all be changed to make the tunic identical to a wartime example.

Inside the jacket retains its original issue label which states the size as No.11 which will fit someone of around a 38-39" chest and 35" waist. The War Department broad arrow is present as is the 1951 date.

The tunic is in good condition as can be seen in the pictures with only limited signs of wear and use. This is a vintage item however and may have small issues consummate with age.

All in all a nice original tunic in a good size which would make a perfect stand-in for a WW2 example with a little work.
