About this item
An original US WW2 era Enlisted Man's Four Pocket dress tunic. General good condition, one or two small moth nips and light soiling in places. Some loose threads around the button holes. There is a small tear on the right shoulder, looks like a moth nip that has opened up. Should be an easy patch from the inside, or the savvy re-enactor may add a previous unit patch onto the right shoulder, which will cover it nicely. Tunic is furnished with;
1. A pair of Sgt stripes,
2. A 3rd Air Force patch on the left shoulder.
3. U. S. and Army Air Force collar dogs. The AAF one is early war screw back, the U.S. is clutch back.
Laundry numbers inked inside include; C-1249 and 5402. The name Dan Cravens is marked inside the pocket flap. Size marked 42 EXL in two places.
Measured by hand as follows;
Pit to pit - 22", so around a 42" chest
Shoulder seam to cuff - 27.5"
Shoulder to shoulder - 19"
