    About this item

    An original tan shirt, condition is generally sound, no rips or tears, but it is a little grubby as MTO tan shirts often are, for obvious reasons.  It's being sold as it arrived with me from the US, having a rather unusual combination of decorations.  The shirt is an Officer's shirt, due to the presence of epaulettes, but has a pair of PFC stripes.  Furthermore there is an Aerial Gunner's 3-inch wing.  The wing is clutch back and not sterling marked.  Despite this unusual combination, there is a significant difference in colour behind the wing and it is clear these wings have been with the shirt for a very long time. Shirt is further furnished with;

    1. A 12th Air Force patch on the top of the left sleeve,

    2. Ribbon Rack comprising Good Conduct Medal and American Campaign Medal,

    3. Army Air Force and U.S. collar dogs, with flat back clutches than denotes war-time.

    Size marked 15-32 with a laundry number on the collar that appears to be O-7740.

    Measured by hand as follows:

    Pit to pit - 21", so around a 40" chest

    Shoulder seam to cuff - 22.5"

    Shoulder to shoulder - 17"
