    About this item

A very nice M36 Tunic upgraded to an Oberleutnant in the Artillery.

Constructed in the normal field grey wool mix the Tunic has two lower bellows pockets and two patch breast pockets all flapped and pleated and closed with grey pebbled buttons matching the five front closure buttons. Each cuff is adjustable by two buttons.

The blue/green stand collar represents the primary upgrade to the Tunic and has been professionally applied with the collar bars of an Artillery officer.

Each shoulder carries the boards of an Oberleutnant, piped in red and with the secondary pale grey of a reserve officer. On the right breast is machine applied upgraded flat wire eagle.

An aiguillette is held in place on the right shoulder by the rank pip, the aiguillette itself missing a short length of cord used to attach the plaited section to the second button.

Inside, the part cotton drill lining shows a breast size of 96cms and a Munich depot issue date of 1939.

Overall appearance of the Tunic is very good with signs of light wear only. There are areas of moth damage to the right shoulder and the right inside sleeve cuff.
