Original 1940s RAF Ordinary Airman's Tunic + Identity Discs - Size 14

A nice original Royal Air Force Ordinary Airman's Tunic which belonged to 2421422  Mark Francis Richard Cory who served in the RAF in the post-war period. 

This tunic is the standard pattern worn by all men in the RAF up to the rank of staff sergeant throughout the Second World War and during the immediate post-war period. It features a complete set of original brass Kings crown buttons, wartime economy pattern printed eagle badges to the top of each sleeve. The tunic comes complete with its original matching waist belt and brass buckle.

Inside the tunic the original label is still present and bears the title 'Jacket O.A.' along with the size of 14 which is designed to fit up to a 40" chest and 36" waist. The date has been partly obscured by a piece of thread which is a period addition leaving just the first three digits '194' visible. The maker's name is also present and reads 'L. Silberston & Sons Ltd' and the War Department broad arrow marking is also present. 

The jacket is in good condition with signs of wear and use. It displays well with no serious flaws but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a vintage pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age. 

The jacket comes complete with the original owners identity discs which bear his name, rank and religion. They are in good condition and come attached to their original string.
