About this item
An original 1945 dated RAF Ordinary Airman’s four pocket tunic complete with its original insignia and waist belt.
This original tunic was the standard pattern worn by all men in the RAF under the rank of sergeant throughout the Second World War. It features a complete set of original brass Kings crown buttons, wartime semi-embroidered eagle badges to the top of each sleeve and printed wartime Leading Aircraftman badges below this.
Inside the tunic the original label is still present. It states the size as No. 11 and the maker as 'The Rego Clothiers Ltd' who are an often seen manufacturer of wartime items. The War Department broad arrow marking and 1945 date are also both present on the label.
The condition of the tunic is very good and it displays well as can be seen in the photographs. It is still a nice deep blue colour and there are no signs of excessive wear or similar. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
Altogether a nice original wartime RAF tunic with all of its original badges. This is an authentic unmolested example which would make a fine addition to any collection.
