About this item
An original 1940s Royal Navy Khaki Drill Bush Jacket in good condition.
This pattern of tunic was used by the Royal Navy as well as the RAF and the British Army. It is made from a tan coloured cotton drill and features pleated chest pockets with scalloped flaps, lower bellows pockets and long sleeves which end in a barrel cuff. The original waist belt is still present and fastens with a double prong brass buckle. The tunic is fitted with King's crown brass buttons throughout.
The tunic is designed to fit around a 38" - 39" chest but has had the pleats to the rear let out meaning it will fit larger. When laid flat it measures -
Chest - 22"
Waist - 16 1/2"
Inside arm - 19"
Outside arm - 26 1/2"
Shoulders - 16 1/2"
Length - 30 1/2"
The overall condition of the jacket is good with some signs of age and wear. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a vintage pre-worn item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice original WW2 period tunic.
