    WW2 RAF Attributed Air Gunners Battledress Blouse, Hat, Ephemera.

    A scarce late WW2 grouping attributed to 1850072 Sergeant Thomas William Sadler, an Air Gunner who possibly flew with 195 Squadron in the closing stages of WW2.
    Comprising:
    Suits Aircrew Blouse. This retaining original as tailored padded Air Gunner Brevet and Sergeant chevrons. The interior with original Suits Aircrew Size 10 label dated 1943. Small moth holes rear lower back.
    RAF Side cap with brass badge and black plastic economy buttons. Dated 1945, one surface moth hole.
    Quantity of original ephemera found in the breast pocket, including Flying card Clothing cards and medal slip confirming the award of the France & Germany Star confirming operational flying.
    Overall GC and a hard to fine attributed blouse.

     1850072 Sergeant Thomas William Sadler, enlisted into the RAF at Oxford after November 1942, he volunteered for aircrew and was accepted as an Air Gunner, this original issue of his flying clothing taking place on the 23rd May 1944. We know that in August 1944 he was stationed at RAF Dalcross school of Aerial Gunnery and in July 1945 he was serving at RAF Wratting Cambridgeshire which was at the time home of 195 Squadron which operated the Lancaster Bomber and was disbanded in August 1945. In 1946 he was serving at RAF Manston with Transport Command.
    He was awarded the 1939/45 Star, France & Germany Star, Defence Medal and War Medal.
