About this item
WW2 USAAF AN6530 FLYING GOGGLES. Nice goggles as used and worn by USAAF aircrew and pilots during WW2.
A good used pair of goggles, the frames with some loss to the plated finish. Marked to the middle section AN6530, the hinge in good condition. This pair have the tubular vents to the top of the goggles. Fitted with a good pair of clear lenses without damage or issues. The strap has some rubber deposits from the facepads but otherwise is in very good condition, still retaining good elasticity. Unfortunately the face pads are well aged, most noticeabley the left pad has a small tear in the rubber where it attaches to the frame. Otherwise there is the usual cracking you find on most wartime rubber. These pads without chamois. The goggles still display very well however when put on a display head with helmet and mask. Overall a good set of goggles, ideal for any USAAF display, collection or museum.
