Royal Air Force Interest. From the estate of Group Captain Sir Douglas Bader, CBE DSO DFC a large 10.5” diameter, heavy 20 ounces (570 gram) silver 60th anniversary (1918-1978) Bader Commemoration Salver. Finely engraved to inner, within this a blue enamel ‘Per Ardua Ad Astra” surrounding a raised lozenge with RAF in silver on blue enamel. Yorkshire Mint (Sheffield) Hallmarks for 1978. Commissioned by Spink & Co. In superb condition.
