Although never positively identified, at least one authoritative work on the subject suggests these DAF (German Labour Front) Armbands were worn by Ordnance Inspectors.
A white W is machine embroidered on a red field applied to a felt armband.
In this case a DAF membership pin has been randomly attached, a practice which appears to be infrequently encountered and unofficial. The reverse of the pin shows an RZM symbol with M 1/47.
The felt band shows some moth damage.
