56) A good original WW1 French army steel helmet in exceptionally nice condition. the shell is good and strong with just one side dent which would easily push out. The shell has its original horizon blue type finish. It has some minor paint loss/surface rust spots in places and to the dent and rear skirt but only slight. it has its original artillery mans badge in place and excellent. The inside is complete with its original leather liner which is good and strong with minor wear. a good polish with black boot polish would clean it up nicely. The chinstrap bails are in place It has a chinstrap but we are not sure that this is the original?. A nice original helmet.
