About this item
A very good example of the 1855 Pattern Sappers and Miners Bayonet, for use with the Lancaster Carbine.
The whole bayonet is in very good condition, with particuarly fine highly polished blade and grips. It is possible that the whole bayonet has been refurbished when it was passed on for use as a sidearm with the RAMC.
Complete in its brass mounted black leather scabbard. Creased above the drag, but holding firm. RAMC markings to the scabbard throat.
