About this item
A good, untouched 1903 pattern bayonet. This example started life as an 1888 pattern, and was converted by Enfield, carrying the EFD mark to the top of the pommel.
Unit marked "16. R.D. 361" to the pommel, with a crossed through "K.R.R." showing original issue to the Kings Royal Rifles.
The whole bayonet is as found, grubby, and with light rust, the blade requiring a clean. The blades point seems to have been slightly rounded.
Housed in its correct steel mounted leather scabbard, which has markings for the Royal Fusiliers. The mounds with rust and corrosion, the whole requiring a clean and polish.
A good solid example which will improve with some time and effort, having never previously been in a collection.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
