About this item
An excellent example of a British No 4 Mk 1 Singer cruciform Bayonet, the rarest of the No.4 Mk1 Spike Bayonets.
Overall condition is very good, clearly marked SMC No4 Mk1 with the King’s Cypher, along with SM 41 on the release button, this example dates from 1941, the first year of manufacture.
Complete with its original scabbard, the throat marked No4 Mk1, also in very good condition, and held in its webbing belt holder.
Originally manufactured by the Singer mnfg. Co in Scotland, only about 75,000 pieces were made between 1941-42, which is only a fraction of the total spike bayonets manufactured. The forging and machining operations ended up being too costly and their manufacture was discontinued in 1942.
SHIPPING: UK MAINLAND ONLY to those of 18 or above. Please provide proof of age on 07775 661417
