About this item
A good Remington made American Model 1913 bayonet.
This is the American made version for the British Enfield P14 Rifle.
This bayonet is in good untouched condition, not having previously been in a collection. It could do with a gentle clean.
It carries no American markings. The ricasso is stamped with the model year "1913", along with the makers stamp Remington, and the issue date "12 15" for December 1915.
It also carried the Broad arrow, and carries an X to denote that it has passed the bend test.
Housed in its correct American pattern scabbard, retaining a lot of its original green colour, and fitted with a later British Home Guard frog. This is in need of repair, as the top mount has become rusty, which has forced the botton of the frog to expand.
