About this item
A lovely 1907 Pattern SMLE Bayonet with hooked quillion.
This example dated 1909 and produced by Sanderson, with a faint crowned ER and various other markings to one ricasso, bend test marking to the other.
Unit marked originally "G.G." which has been cross through. Above this is "20. R.D. 929." Likely for the 20th Regimental District, rack number 929.
No oil hole.
Housed in a correct scabbard with tear drop stud.
Nice untouched condition overall, with some light staining and old grease to the blade, which has been service sharpened, and has some contact marks.
A very good and sought after bayonet to an important unit.
