This is a beautiful and historically significant piece! A military officer's shoulder belt plate (SBP) from the 33rd (or 1st Yorkshire) Regiment of Foot, which later became The Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment.

Crown: A Georgian Crown, dating the style to the reign of George IV or William IV (circa 1830).

Circled Belt/Garter: Inscribed with "YORKSHIRE WEST RIDING REGIMENT".

Center: The numerals "33" surrounded by laurel sprays.

Scrolls: The battle honors "SERINGAPATAM" and "WATERLOO".

The reverse features the fittings for attaching it to the shoulder belt. It has two hooks/tongs at the top and a wire-style arrangement (a T-bar or similar mechanism with two horizontal wires/bars) to secure the leather belt.
