About this item
This pattern was adopted circa 1830 and worn up to 1845. The backing plate in bright gilt (some wear) on this a large 6 pointed silver hobnailed star, on this a gilt crown surmounting a gilt Maltese Cross on the arms of the cross battle honours - Peninsula, Vittoria, Orthes, Nivelle, Albuhera, Nive, Pyrenees. To the centre the numerals 34 in silver over a silver backing plate.
