About this item
An original 1941 dated 1937 pattern webbing belt made by 'M. W. & S. Ltd' which is in good condition.
This pattern of webbing belt came into issue with the British Army in 1938 and saw use throughout the Second World War as well as in the post-war period. It has been blanco'd with Khaki Green No. 3 blanco and features all brass fittings which is standard for early war made webbing items.
This example is clearly marked to the inside with the maker's initials of 'M. W. & S Ltd' which denotes the manufacturer as Michael Wright & Sons Ltd. The 1941 date is also present as is the size which is marked as 'S'.
At its full extent the belt measures 37" long so should fit up to a 34" waist easily.
A hard to find wartime dated belt in good condition.
