About this item
An original Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders leather sporran which was made by 'W. M. Anderson' during the WW2 period.
This pattern of sporran was worn during the Second World War by members of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders when wearing a kilt. It is made of leather and the front flap fastens with a brass 'Newey' brand press stud which is typical of those used throughout WW2. A silver badge is fitted to the front of the sporran which denotes the regiment and the original leather strap is also still present which is illustrated in picture 4.
The maker's name of 'W. M. Anderson & Sons Ltd' of Edinburgh and Glasgow is present to the rear. This company was a prolific supplier of clothing to those serving in the Armed Forces during this period.
The sporran is in good condition with only limited signs of wear and age. Overall it displays very well but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A good original example with a good maker's name which comes complete with its leather strap.
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
