A thick and original 1943 dated book produced by His Majesty's Stationery Office, London. Book is intact, all pages appear to be present, but there is general discolouration and creasing to edges of pages, as would be expected with age. Chapters include; The Swordfish Strike in Bomba Bay, The Triumph at Taranto, Roof Over The Convoy and Long Odds; From Dunkirk to Crete.
This series of books was produced by the British Government during the war to educate the public as to the progress of the war effort - may not be entirely impartial therefore. Inside the front cover contains the phrase 'There are men and women in the forces who would welcome a chance of reading this book. If you hand it in at the nearest Post Office, it will go to them'.
