    About this item

A thick and original 1943 dated book produced by His Majesty's Stationery Office, London.  Book is a little fragile, staples corroded but still holding book together, general discolouration and slight creasing consistent with age. Two pages in the centre have come loose, priced accordingly.

This series of books was produced by the British Government during the war to educate the public as to the progress of the war effort - may not be entirely impartial therefore.  Inside the front cover contains the phrase 'There are men and women in the forces who would welcome a chance of reading this book. If you hand it in at the nearest Post Office, it will go to them'.

Chapters include; The Battle of Crete Begins, The Last Rally of the Royal Marines, The Back Door of Tobruk and The Storm Breaks on Malta.

    95 pages.
