    About this item

For sale is a WW2 What Happens To You At Lackland, The Gateway To The Air Force Pamphlet.    The opening page states the following;   “Welcome by Commanding General As Commanding General of Lackland Air Force Base, I extend to you a most coraial welcome and hope that your stay here will be both pleasant and profitable. As a member of the United States Air Force, you will fina that you have many high standards to live up to. The Air Force has always been known as a fighting outfit, an outfit that has proven it- self many times. In Worla war II, no Air Force Mission was ever turned back by enemy attack. Remember this as you go through your training here at Lacklana - remember that you are one of the world's best airmen in the world's best Air Force. Perhaps the most difficult part of your service career is about to begin. The change from a civilian to a full-fledged air- man is a big one, and the training you will undergo is necessarily vigorous and challeng- ing. Live up to, or, better yet, surpass the standards of those who have gone before you. Again I welcome you to the greatest fighting team in the world as outstanding in peace as in war. Good luck”   This was published on the 10th September 1952.    This is in good condition. This will be sent via 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
