  The preface of this book states:   “THERE appears to be a definite need for a small volume presenting essential and concise information on general principles and accessories of aero-engines. An attempt has been made to strike a mean between the vague superficial kind of answer, and the more highly scientific exposition to be found in the larger treatises on the various subjects. Nar The questions have been very carefully selected, to on provide detailed and reliable information and data features of construction of aero-engines, thus meeting the requirements of all engaged on aero-engine main tenance. a (i.e Past experience has shown that the subjects dealt with in some chapters have presented points of difficulty to young mechanics, accordingly in these chapters it has been deemed advisable to include a somewhat larger W number of questions. It is hoped that this manual may be of interest to authorities concerned with the Air Training Scheme.
