About this item
A rare pair of original British Army jungle boots in a size 8.
This pattern of boots was introduced in the immediate post-war period and date from the late 1940s or 1950s. They saw issue in Malaya and Korea, amongst other places and are now hard to find. They are often referred to as '1944 pattern' due to their association with that pattern of jungle uniform and equipment.
The boots are made from a heavy weight, green coloured cotton canvas and feature black rubber soles as well as diamond shaped rubber patches at the ankles. Inside the boots are stamped with size of 8 to the insole. A pair of modern replacement laces have been fitted to complete the boots.
The boots are in good condition and display well. There are some signs of wear and age but most of the rubber appears to be in good pliable condition. They appear to be unissued and don't show signs of previous wear or use. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage pair of boots which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
Altogether a good example of this pattern of boots!
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
