    About this item

A pair of Military officer calf length  boots.

I bought a quantity of these boots when the factory closed down in the 1990's and have been in my stock room since then

Made by Hawkins In the Regent / Royale line.

The Hawkins factory was the largest producer of military boots in the UK.  They were traditional boot makers from Northamptonshire who closed around 1996 They supported the British war efforts through both world wars.  It also supplied footwear for Queen Victoria receiving the Royal Warrant in 1885 and made the boots for Edmund Hilary’s Everest expedition in 1953. That’s quite a history

The quality is ubiquitous- a bench mark for traditional English boots.
