Egypt Medal 1882-89. Clasp: Suakin 1885. (8028. Pte. W. LINES. 3/GRENR.G.D.S.). Awarded to 8028 Private William Lines of the 3rd Battalion Grenadier Guards. Served in the Egyptian military campaign and saw service in operations in the vicinity of Suakin between1884-85. Medal roll confirms medal and clasp Suakin 1885 he was also entitled to the Khedive Star as indicated in the medal. Medals were conferred onto the 3rd Battalion Grenadier Guards at Wellington Barracks in London on the 13th October 1885. Private William Lines was later discharged from service on the 13th March 1886 as indicated on record. *please note Egypt Medal un dated. (copy medal roll and single page record).
