POL.) & Queen South Africa,   Clasp Cape Colony & Orange Free State (1029 PTE. S.H. BOYES. CAPE P.D.1. Records show he joined the service on the 1st February 1896 and later discharged  on the 4th February 1902. He took part in the Anglo – Boer War between 1899-1902. (with copy Service details, Cape of Good Hope medal roll etc.).
