About this item
A Kriegsmarine Auxiliary Ship’s Compass by Plath, mounted in its original wooden Plath case.
A heavy item, the compass has a diameter of 130 mm and is in excellent working condition and free from damage. All markings around the outer ring are unmolested, the rose card clear in the liquid filled chamber.
The gimbal ring sits in brass brackets attached to the walls of the box allowing it to be used in situ and easily removed when required.
The box shows some distress but is generally good and carries the C Plath manufacturers plate.
A fine addition to any Kriegsmarine collection
