About this item
A rare original pre-WWI Manitoba Rangers 99th Regiment Canadian Militia cap badge.
The 99th Regiment were founded in 1908 as part of the Canadian Militia, adopting the title of Manitoba Rangers in 1911 along with this design of cap badge. In the 1920s after the First World War the design of the badge was substantially altered, adopting a Buffalo motif. This rare badge can therefore be dated with some certainty to the pre-Great War/Great War period.
A rare badge!
