About this item
Original WW2 German Black Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz) constructed in magnetic steel.
A solid die-struck example featuring the classic helmet and crossed swords design with original style pin and hinge setup to the reverse. The badge retains a strong black finish with honest age-related wear visible throughout.
The piece appears to be wartime manufacture and is magnetic, which is correct for many steel-produced black wound badges of the period.
