About this item
Featuring 7 1/8" head with 1 ½" square hammer face and downward curved 5" diamond-
section spike; decorated with vertical lines and turned baluster. One-piece round-section
shaft with expanded turned balusters in the center and at each end. Disc-shaped guard
with attached double knuckle guards decorated ensuite and joining the disc-shaped pommel
cap. Original wood grip with brass ferrules top and bottom. Highly unusual and finely
crafted war hammer. Very good untouched condition, having never been apart. Shows
great age and use, having never been cleaned; the head a bit loose, but held securely in
place with rectangular cap and peened button. Length 20 3/4" (53 cm), weight 2 pounds
3 ½ oz. (1006 g).
