About this item
A very rare example of the Knights Cross of War Merit Cross without Swords. This example is in its original case. The medal is hallmarked with an 800 silver hallmark on the inner edge on the central downward facing arm. The medal is also LDO marker marked on the lower part of the suspension loop with the number "50". The case lid is lined with white linen and the case body has a black felt incert. The medal was awarded in recognition of outstanding war production in both performance and teamwork. Only about 250 of these were ever issued.
