Pre WW2 Wembley Torchlight Tattoo 1925 Army RAF & Navy Tribute Medal

For sale is a Pre WW2 Wembley Torchlight Tattoo 1925 Tribute To Army, RAF & Navy Medal & Original Case In Superb Condition. 

  1925 Wembley Torchlight Tattoo Bronze Medallion', complete with its original blue leather covered case.   The 'Tattoo' was held in conjunction with the '1925 British Empire Exhibition', as a grateful tribute to the combined British armed forces of WW1.   The Bronze medallion bears a Lion on one side, and around the top of the medallion is written "WEMBLEY TORCHLIGHT TATTOO 1925". Below the ground on which the Lion is standing is the following wording: "Heaven Doth With Us As We With Torches Do, Not Light Them For Themselves".    On the reverse of the medallion is a cross behind which are rays of sunlight, on top of this is a soldier carrying a shield with his sword held aloft, he is standing on a globe and behind him are laurel branches.  To either side of the soldier, and below are the emblems of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force).   Designed by 'H. Oakes-Jones' and struck by 'F. Phillips' medallists of Aldershot.   The medal condition is superb, and has most probably spent its time kept within the case, the case is also in excellent condition.    Medal diameter: 1 1/2" (38mm)   Case dimensions: 3" x 3" x 3/4" (7.6cm x 7.6cm x 19mm)   This will be sent via royal mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
