WW2 RAAF OTHER RANKS SIDE CAP.
A nice lightly used side cap worn by enlisted men in the RAAF. Made from the darker blue material associated with all RAAF uniforms. The cap is in pretty good condition really, with no major damage or issues to report. The blue material retains good color with no moth damage. The cap is fitted with the correct RAAF enlisted ranks cap badge. Somewhat rubbed now, this I believe would have originally had a black finish which can still be seen in the depressions of the badge. Toned and aged over time now, the badge does have a lovely aged appearance. Made from a brass-like material. To the front of the cap, we find the two small buttons still in place again without damage.
Moving inside the cap, it is lightly soiled but in good worn condition. Still with original label, reading A^F, 1944 dated, 7 1/4, MADE IN AUSTRALIA. A lovely cap, ideal for any RAAF display, museum, or collection.
