    An original pair of British 1941 Pattern Khaki Drill Shorts 

    There is  the first field dressing pocket placed on the right hip and the double belt and buckle fastening to the waist. The buttons are a dyed vegetable ivory (plastic) 

    This pattern of shorts saw widespread issue throughout the Second World War into the 1960's when a shorter leg appeared.  With the British Army, RAF amongst others using them. They are made from a light tan coloured cotton drill which is well suited to the tropics, being issued to troops in hotter climates

    In excelent condition, no fraying with little sign of wear.  but used as it has signs of being ironed shiney
