An attractive Canadian 242 Battalion Trench Art Napkin Ring.
The 242 Oversea's Battalion was made up of troops specialised in forrestry work, part of the Canadian Forrestry Corps.
This item is made from a brass ring mounted with the regiments badge, fixed to two 1916 dated .303 inert rounds.
A handsome and probably unique piece of trench art to an unusual battalion.
