A nice original British Army AB64 Paybook pouch dating from around the time of the Second World War and possibly much earlier.
This item is typical of those used by soldiers in both World Wars. It is the correct shape and size to house a soldier's AB64 paybook and some other small personal effects. There is a string attached which allows it to be worn around the owner's neck and the top fastens with small metal pop studs.
A nice original period item which would make a good addition to a soldier's small kit collection or display.
