This book is with a uniform photo dated 7/9/1943 ,plus citation for the wound badge in black dated 27/3/1943. A red cross POW card dated 14/4/1946 and A POW discharge document, dated 13/6/1946. After initial training,Artur Arndt served on anti-submarine and anti-aircraft escort vessels in the Adriatic Sea .During march 19 44, his ship was attacked by B 25 bomber of the USAF and he was wounded. The craft, he was serving on was a former Italian Corvette (UJ206) that was scuttled in Venice harbour in April 1944 but in 1948, was raised and refitted remaining in service till 1975, with the Italian Navy. A very interesting book it comes with full history and English translation.
