    About this item

    A Willrich of Oberst Rothenburg who was an officer in the 25th panzer regiment. Through the campaigns in Poland and the low countries he was awarded the Knights cross in May 1940 during the British counter-attack Arras and where he saved the life of Rommel when his command tank was knocked out. Rothenburg was killed in action in June 1941, during operation Barbarosa. The card is in used condition with annotation to the reverse side dating from 1943.
