About this item
An interesting framed letter, thanking the recipient for a Birthday card sent to Queen Alexandra.
This is written on Marlborough House headed stationary, and dated December 1915.
It is signed by Charlotte Knollys, Lady in Waiting and Private Secretary to Queen Alexandra, and quite an interesting character in her own right.
The letter is framed with its original envelope, detailing the original recipient. Some minor cosmetic damage to the frame.
The frame measuring 5.5 inches by 8.75 inches.
Signs of old worm to the back, but it doesn't seem to have penetrated the glass. There is also a small circular cut out, showing the crown motif on the envelope.
An intersting old curio.
