A Wehrpass of Leutnant Kurt Eckle, Stab Kompanie ./ Festungs-Infanterie-Regiment 968. The pass is with a non-uniform photo, dated2/7/1938 and is accompanied with small POW Ausweis ,dated 1/8/1945. Eckle is decorated four times with the West wall medal,1941/2 eastern front medal, infantry assault badge in silver and the war merit cross with swords.
He served on the eastern front, but from July 1944 until May 1945, he was stationed on the Greek island of Leros in the Aegean Sea, finally surrendering to the British in May 1945. The pass is complete but interestingly has various names and addresses from ( USA,Greece and France) maybe these are contacts he gained when he was a POW. The pass is accompanied with full English translation and unit history.
