Maj General Anthony Dean-Drummond Autograph

A letter from Maj General Anthony Dean-Drummond, signed 'Tony Dean Drummond'. He had a fascinating career including being second-in-command of a commando force which destroyed an aqueduct in Italy, before being captured by enemy forces. He escaped, was recaptured, escaped again, before making his return to England sixteen months after the raid. He also served in Operation Market-Garden and was captured at Arnhem, but successfully escaped for a third time. Post-War, he commanded 22 SAS Regiment in Malaya and Oman, and held a number of staff positions.
