About this item
A quite beautiful Leather Expandable Briefcase clearly embossed with the Royal Cypher of Queen Elizabeth 11 and dated 1959.
Measuring 430mm x 380mm and expanding to width of roughly 270mm although it can easily be carried almost flat with just paperwork, the dual closure straps allowing for any configuration from overnight bag to office briefcase.
Construction is a grained leather with two internal compartments with leather flaps and an adjustable securing strap and buckle to hold the contents in place.
Overall condition is very good, showing no obvious signs of anything other than perhaps an occasional use. There is no key.
Guaranteed to attract attention it was perhaps intended for the use of the late Queens messenger.
