WWI British .303 Rifle Bore Viewer Periscope F&S Broad Arrow Trench Tool

Original British First World War .303 rifle bore viewer / inspection periscope, designed for use with the Lee-Enfield rifle.

Constructed in brass with a folding viewing arm and internal mirror.

Marked F&S together with the British military Broad Arrow / crow’s foot mark.

The mirror remains in good clear condition. The folding arm has a little looseness at the joint, although this does not significantly affect the item and it remains a good display example. The brass shows expected age-related wear, marks and patination consistent with service use and age.

A nice original piece of British WWI rifle equipment and an interesting addition to a Lee-Enfield or trench equipment collection.
