Kriegsmarine Officer Car Pennant

An excellent example of Kriegsmarine officer’s double sided Car Pennant in the 1936 -45 pattern.

Measuring roughly 32cms by 22cms and constructed in a vertically ribbed navy blue cotton and rayon mix with a 2cm wide cotton tunnel at the hoist end. Top and bottom edges are trimmed with a yellow cotton border.

At centre both sides are the Kriegsmarine eagles executed in golden yellow chain stitched thread with black thread accent.

The original cord is in place in the tunnel hoist with the fixing clip present at the top and enough cord exposed at the bottom to tie to the loop on the flagpole on the car.

Overall condition is excellent. There is no damage to the cloth or thread and the colours remain bold.
