About this item
Original German Kriegsmarine command flag pennant, likely used by a senior officer or a staff officer in the German Navy during World War II. In good overall condition. Meaures approx 32x22cm. There's a couple of small holes to the flag, small snag to the gold piping, some discolouration and fading as expected with age. Please study all the photos on the main listing on Collexchange website.
The pennant features: A deep blue background, which was typical for naval flags. A golden embroidered or printed eagle clutching a swastika, a symbol of the Nazi-era German military. Gold trim, which was often used for high-ranking officers' pennants. This type of flag would have been flown on small boats, staff vehicles, or headquarters to indicate the presence of a senior naval officer.
